Based in the heart of Belfast, Muddy Mental is more than just an outdoor fitness program—it's a lifestyle choice for those who crave the thrill of extreme challenges, camaraderie, and the raw beauty of nature.

Our Mission

At Muddy Mental, our mission is simple: to empower individuals of all fitness levels to conquer their fears, break through personal barriers, and prepare for the most intense mud races and endurance events out there. We believe that fitness should be fun, challenging, and, most importantly, a shared experience. That’s why we foster a community where everyone works together, encouraging and supporting each other every step of the way.

What We Do
 

We specialise in providing a range of outdoor training sessions designed to simulate the conditions of real mud races and extreme endurance challenges. Our training grounds, located around the scenic Shaw's Bridge in Belfast, offer the perfect backdrop for activities that include:
 

  • 'Regular Workouts': At Shaws Bridge, you explore the full environment, grass, hills, rivers, streams, trees, and mud!.

  • Extreme Fitness Events: Going around the Mourne Mountains (and others) is easy, so we make it a bit more of a challenge, such as carrying a fridge, where else do you store your lunch? 

  • Endurance Events: Tackle rugged terrains with group runs and 'endless' workouts, testing you to breaking point and then to victories.

  • Mud Races:  External events that we do together, this is what we've trained for!
